Hindi Typing — Inscript and Remington Gail Keyboard

Exams accept different Hindi layouts. Inscript is the Government of India standard layout used with Unicode fonts like Mangal. Remington Gail follows the old typewriter (Kruti Dev) positions and is common in state exams.

Choose a layout in the test settings. Our built-in layouts convert your keys into Unicode Hindi, so you do not need to install anything. You can also use your own system Hindi keyboard.

In Inscript, matras are typed after the consonant (क + ि = कि). In Remington Gail the “ि” matra is typed before the consonant, like on a typewriter — the app reorders it for you.
